a made-to-measure actvity
Contemporary art moves forward and changes over time, continuously keeping up with the technical tools and the concerns of the society in which it evolves. It is no longer content to follow the beauty criteria established by outdated codes.
Today, individual artists develop their personal codes and offer a unique view of the world based on their own perceptions. They explore, push back and disrupt the limits of our system of values to such an extent that the limits of “what is beautiful” can be confusing to those who see their works. We can indeed feel lost when faced with a work of art for which we have no reference. Indeed, one might be tempted to ask: “Is this art?”
Through the sometimes destabilizing universe of art, we are faced with our own intimacy, we are faced with ourselves. And that is because art is an eye opener, it makes us think. Art allows us to stop and face the unfamiliar. And that is our perception of its role.
The objective of our Cultural and Educational Service is to offer interactive activities that will help all audiences to discover the works exhibited. Art connoisseurs and amateurs alike will want to take a guided tour, and depending on individual choices, may prolong the activity by participating in a workshop inspired by the theme of “Chance”. These activities are directed by professional cultural mediators.
