Curated under the theme of “chance”, the seventh edition of La Biennale de Montréal will seek to showcase works in which the random resonates; a notion that permeates all aspects of our lives, imaginations and our understanding of the world.
A total of 24 artists from 10 countries were selected for the Visual Arts component of the BNL MTL 2011, and in preparation, emerging artists from Quebec, Canada, Europe and the United States have sought to incorporate notions of chance into their work.
