The 6th edition of La Biennale de Montréal is held May 1 - 31, 2009. Brainchild of the CIAC - Centreinternational d'art contemporain de Montréal and its artistic director Claude Gosselin in 1998, La Biennale de Montréal enhances the city's reputation on the international scene of biennials. It bears witness to contemporary culture and provides insight into various artistic fields such as visual arts, graphic design, video and camera.
The mandate of the Education Program at la BNL MTL 09 is to conduct interactive, captivating and high quality educational activities on contemporary art and la Biennale's theme, Open Culture. Our educational philosophy is based on a deep respect for the public, and the encouragement of discussion and creation in a collaborative manner.
La BNL MTL 09 offers educational programming for many different populations including :
- GENERAL PUBLIC
- FAMILY GROUPS
- SCHOOL GROUPS (Primary, Secondary, Cégep and University)
- COMMUNITY GROUPS
